Be Ye Also Ready

Hello, family.

Today was an amazing day in my life. I had the opportunity to teach a class on wellness, and what I thought would be a simple 20-minute session turned into three separate sessions. By the end of the day, I found myself reflecting on the scripture, "Be ye also ready" (Matthew

24:44). I encourage you to read and study the full passage for yourself, but what stayed with me was the reminder that sometimes God will place us in situations we weren't expecting, and in those moments, we discover that He has already equipped us for the assignment.

It reminded me how important it is to study your craft, walk in your gifts, and remain open to being used. There will be times when you have to reach beyond your comfort zone and lean on what God has already placed inside of you. What feels like an ordinary day can quickly become an opportunity to serve, teach, encourage, or impact someone else's life.

Throughout the day, I spoke on three topics that all pointed back to the same message: wellness matters. We discussed the importance of managing stress and creating space to be refilled so we can continue serving others, recognizing the signals our bodies give us through fatigue, dehydration, and other warning signs, and how our daily habits influence the health of our hair, skin, and overall well-being. While each topic was different, they all reinforced one truth: the way we care for ourselves affects how we show up in every area of our lives.

As I reflect on the day, what stands out most is not the fact that I taught longer than expected. It's the reminder that the things we spend years learning, practicing, and developing are often preparing us for moments we never see coming.

Pouring into others is one of the gifts God has given me, but I've learned that I also have to make room to receive. Sometimes that looks like prayer, therapy, rest, reflection, or simply being still long enough to listen. Life has a way of filling us with responsibilities, worries, and distractions, and when we're carrying too much, it becomes difficult to receive what God is trying to give us.

My encouragement to you is simple. Release what was never yours to carry. Make room for peace, wisdom, and direction. Trust what God has placed inside of you, even when you don't feel fully ready. More often than not, you'll find that He has already been preparing you all along.

Be ye also ready.

I love you all, and I mean it.

Niece
